Inventory #: LG-031
One of the remaining structures that is still used in Hope, Alaska. Built with great quality to keep out the Alaskan winters.
The small village was founded many years ago as a trapping town and has since only contained its 10 or so houses and stores. While only a few miles from Anchorage as the crow flies, it takes several hours to reach it because you must drive all around Cook Inlet. Cook Inlet is unique because it is one of the inlets of water where difference between high and low tide is the largest. Actually at low tide you can walk across the inlet because the bottom is exposed.
This Photograph was issued in a Limited Edition of 5 prints. You can customize this photo with any of our six 16x20 frames and six different varieties of mattes.
